Singer Rita Ora Shows Off Dazzling Emerald Ring For The First Time Since Marrying Filmmaker 15 Years Her Senior, Taika Waititi

In Hollywood, it’s not uncommon for celebrity couples to have age gaps. Sometimes these gaps are quite small and insignificant, while other times, they make headlines for being head-turning. However, at the end of the day, many celebrities have highlighted that their ages haven’t played a part in their relationships with their older or younger partners – it all comes down to love.

Rita Ora is a 32-year-old British singer and songwriter. Born on Nov. 26, 1990, in Pristina, SFR Yugoslavia, to Albanian parents, Ora moved to London, England, in 1991, with her family when she was still just a baby. There, she attended a performing arts school, which seemingly set her up for success.

She began performing at open mic sessions around London before auditioning for “Eurovision: Your Country Needs You” in 2008. Although she qualified, Ora withdrew from the competition – but that wasn’t the last anyone saw of her musical career.

It wasn’t long before Ora signed with a record label and began making music. Some of her best-known songs include “R.I.P” and “How We Do (Party).” She has also been featured on DJ Fresh’s single “Hot Right Now,” and worked with Calvin Harris on “I Will Never Let You Down.”

Ora dated Harris from 2013 until June 2014 before going on to have a relationship with another musician, Andrew Watt, a few years later. However, she turned heads after showing off her stunning emerald wedding ring following her marriage to Taika Waititi in 2022 – a New Zealand filmmaker who is 15 years her senior. Waititi was born on Aug. 16, 1975, in New Zealand, making him 47 years old. He is best known for his work as a filmmaker, but he has also shown off his skills as an actor and comedian. Some of his most notable films include 2010’s “Boy,” 2016’s “Hunt for the Wilderpeople,” as well as the superhero films “Thor: Ragnarok” and “Thor: Love and Thunder.” On top of that, he has received numerous awards, including an Academy Award, a BAFTA Award and a Grammy Award.

Regarding his personal life, Waititi was in a relationship with Loren Horseley, a New Zealand actress and writer, for 10 years. However, he later went on to marry fellow New Zealand film producer Chelsea Winstanley in 2011. She worked on “What We Do in the Shadows” and “Jojo Rabbit” alongside her then-husband.

The couple went on to welcome two daughters together but called it quits in 2018. However, Waititi did not give up on love and started his relationship with Ora in 2021. While the two tied the knot pretty soon after, in August 2022, they did not disclose this information until January 2023.

During an appearance on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” in February 2023, Ora opened up about her relationship with her husband, who is 15 years older than her – and she also made sure to show off her stunning wedding ring!

Host Jimmy Fallon started off the interview by saying, “We have things to talk about, by the way. Congratulations, you got married?” Ora excitedly replied, “Yes!”

While Ora wore a glittery silver outfit, it was her emerald wedding ring that was the real show-stopper. Fallon was lucky enough to be one of the first people Ora publicly showed her ring to.

“Because I love you so much, I actually have never shown anyone my ring. You know, it’s my first time showing my ring,” Ora explained. “So because I love you and I feel like you’re part of our relationship, weirdly, because we watch you every night.”

Fallon joked, “I feel like I’m part of the relationship as well.”

Ora proceeded to tell Fallon that she would show him her ring before happily saying, “Look, here it is.” The singer proudly held her hand up to Fallon so he could get a better look at the gem.

“Ooh la la that’s gorgeous,” Fallon remarked. The large emerald stone looked stunning in its gold band, which Ora happily wore on her tattooed finger. “He did good,” Ora said, speaking about her husband’s choice in the ring. However, she admitted that she had previously shown Waititi the exact ring she wanted at a shop.

Ora shared that she had a new single, “You Only Love Me,” and also had a new album in the works set to be released sometime in 2023. The song’s corresponding music was wedding theme, albeit not the wedding of Ora’s dreams, as she cheekily shared in an Instagram post.

Still, the singer explained that her life has “changed so drastically” in the past couple of years and was “inspired by love.” She said, “Making a decision to really spend the rest of your life with someone is a kind of big decision, you know?”

Ora added, “I feel like this is more than just music; it’s like a moment in life for me.”
