Currently, she has her own show, "The Kelly Clarkson Show," which is set to become the next big thing in daytime television in the coming years.

After nearly 18 years on the air, Ellen DeGeneres announced on Wednesday, May 12, that she would be ending her award-winning NBC talk show. In a statement released to The Hollywood Reporter, DeGeneres confirmed that the upcoming season, the show’s 19th, would be its last. TODAY has now confirmed that "The Kelly Clarkson Show," hosted by Clarkson, will be taking over the coveted daytime slot after "The Ellen Show" ends. Clarkson's show has been renewed until 2023.

Simon Cowell is most famously known for being a record executive, entrepreneur and a longtime television personality for a variety of competition shows in both the United States and England, including “America’s Got Talent” and “The X Factor.” He’s usually seen as the harsher judge on the shows due to his blunt and brutal honesty, but he typically has sound advice for the contestants. Cowell came into prominence in the United States especially after he was a judge on "American Idol" starting in 2002. The show was an instant hit when it debuted, and for an unprecedented eight consecutive years, the show ranked number one in U.S Television ratings.

Clarkson was the winner of the first-ever season, which catapulted her into incredible fame. While she has had her fair share of difficulties and tragedies in her life, she has come through and become a strong and inspiring figure in entertainment today. She started "The Kelly Clarkson Show" in 2019, and in just a span of 3 years, her show has become extremely popular.

A press release for "The Kelly Clarkson Show" read, "In her new daytime talk show, Kelly Clarkson uses her gift of connection to bring viewers something new: a fun, energetic show that breaks with tradition. In each episode, audiences will experience an hour full of remarkable stories, celebrity guests, spontaneous surprises, humor, heart and, of course, good music. It's like a weekday brunch party with a fascinating guest list of people who would otherwise never meet."

TODAY reported that Clarkson's show recently even earned six Daytime Emmy nominations and has been renewed through 2023.

On the most recent episode of her show, Clason invited Cowell over for a show that was dubbed "reunion with the OGs" according to Yahoo Entertainment. During the show, Cowell had only praise for the OG "American Idol" winner.

While reminiscing about Clarkson and her role on the first season in 2002, Cowell said "You always knew where you wanted to be after the show [and] the kind of artist you wanted to be. You didn't need anyone to give you that kind of guidance."

He continued with the praise as he said, "I use you as an example. I genuinely mean this: You're one of the nicest people I've ever met. Most loyal. I can say that because we've known each other a long time. But if people ever say, 'What advice can you give me?' I just say, 'Follow Kelly.'"

In 2020, Clarkson had covered for Cowell as a judge on "America's Got Talent" after Cowell broke his back on Aug. 8, 2020, after an incident with an electric bike at his home in Malibu, California. Cowell has since been recuperating and is slowly getting back on his feet, and his appearance on Clarkson's show goes to show just how far Cowell has come in his recovery.

Cowell praised Clarkson's stint on AGT, and said, "I was watching in bed that night, and as I was watching I was thinking, 'You're actually doing too well'" with a laugh. The duo also had some fun trying to impersonate each other's accents as Entertainment Tonight reports. This is a reunion that "American Idol" fans are sure to love!
