Silly Kitty Casually Sits On The Floor Just Like A Human

Pet owners know that, sometimes, their animals do things that they just can't explain. Whether it's a golden retriever singing the national anthem, or a chihuahua grinning widely, pet owners love to capture their furry friend's weird behavior on video.

In this video posted to Rumble on July 1st, 2020, Nova the cat spikes her owner's interest by sitting on the floor in a very human-like way rather than the usual cat style. 

Somehow, this is especially true of cat owners, who are oftentimes obsessed with posting videos of their cat's zany antics online. Some cats have even become famous, with thousands or even millions of fans on their social media sites. Infamous names like Grumpy Cat, Lil Bub, Maru, and even the Keyboard Cat have been skyrocketed into fame from their popular videos.

Now, there's a new cat on the crazy internet hype, and he's telling the rest of the felines above to move out of the way!

A video of a very fluffy black cat named Nova is taking the internet by storm, although it might not be for the reason that you think. No, Nova isn't playing the piano, or even making a grumpy face. Instead, she is sitting just like a human.

According to the video, Nova isn't like other cats; she often sits upright, just like a human!

Scientifically speaking, there are many plausible explanations for why a cat might be sitting upright. Most likely, the cat was cleaning itself and paused midway through for a nice break. Or, possibly, the cat has seen humans sitting upright and has learned the behavior through observation.

Some research even indicates that cats might be sitting in this position because they're seeking attention from their owners. And, let's be honest, if that's the case, it always works.

Whatever the case, we can all count ourselves lucky that Nova prefers sitting like a human because it makes for wildly entertaining videos that we will all play on repeat for hours and hours at a time.
