Sia Voices Support For Johnny Depp While Disapproving Of His Ex Amber Heard And Her Other Ex-Boyfriend Elon Musk

Musician Sia has recently lent her voice to the ongoing battle between exes Johnny Depp and Amber Heard, publicly declaring her support for the Pirates of the Caribbean actor.

As well as making it clear she's on Depp's side, Sia also tweeted about Amber Heard and another famous ex of hers, Elon Musk, in a disapproving way.

Ever since actors Johnny Depp and Amber Heard broke up in 2016, they've been embroiled in controversy regarding their relationship and allegations of physical abuse. Well, now, musician Sia has publically weighed in on the drama via Twitter. Taking to her personal account, Sia wrote:

"Just showing my public support for Johnny Depp. I mean, I'd love him to get clean and stop with the jewelry, but he is clearly the victim after hearing those tapes."

The tapes Sia refers to are mostly likely tapes recorded in 2015 in which Amber Heard admits to hitting Johnny Depp, which were played in court back in February of this year.

However, her comment didn't go down so well with her fans, with many tweeting replies asking Sia not to get involved in other people's business. They further highlighted that although Amber is culpable, Johnny doesn't have a clean conscience either, with many saying it was a toxic relationship that affected both sides

But Sia didn't stop there—she had a message to Amber's other ex, Elon Musk. Her follow-up tweet said:

"Also @elonmusk didn't you give her the seven million she "donated" from her settlement? She still came out seven million richer. Why are you protecting her? She will never get the help she needs if we all stay silent!"

The money Sia is referring to is the $7 million that Heard got from the divorce settlement with Depp, which she donated to the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) and the Children's Hospital of Los Angeles. Sia suggests that Heard's ex Musk then gave her the same amount of money to make up for what she donated. Neither Depp, Heard, nor Musk has commented since Sia spoke out.

First meeting on the set of their film The Rum Diary in 2009, Depp and Heard began dating in 2012 after the actor split from his wife and mother of his children, Vanessa Paradis. Depp and Heard were married in 2015 before Heard filed for divorce one year later; at the same time, she filed a restraining order against Depp.

Ever since, they've been embroiled in a contentious legal battle after Heard wrote an opinion piece in March 2019 for The Washington Post that didn't name Depp but was about domestic abuse. This prompted Depp to file a $50 million defamation lawsuit against Heard that argues the article identified him. Meanwhile, Depp denies all allegations of domestic violence.

The messy legal proceedings are still ongoing and have been delayed due to events this year and Depp's upcoming film Fantastic Beasts 3.
