Shy Foster Kitten Is Eager For More Cuddles From His New Friend

Finn's early life was challenging. This 6-week-old kitten had been separated from his mother and was wandering the streets of Los Angeles. He was also suffering from a severe upper respiratory infection, which complicated matters.

Thankfully, Finn was found and rescued by Best Friends Animal Society. However, he needed some care, both medically and of the love variety. Finn was not trusting of others, which was understandable, but it was hoped that he could relax and gain a measure of confidence. Aly W, Finn's human foster parent, did exactly what Finn needed. She introduced him to Zephyr, a feline foster parent.

As reported by Inner Strength, Aly said that Zephyr is her foster fail kitty and has been with her since he was 5 weeks old. Finn was initially hesitant to leave his crate. Zephyr would have none of that and went to the kitten, poking his head in the crate and introducing himself with some nose kittens. Finn was somewhat reluctant, gently putting his paw up to keep Zephyr from getting too affectionate, but ultimately accepted this unexpected love and care.

Within a week, the two completely bonded. In that short time period, Zephyr had helped Finn come out of his shell. The two played and cuddled often, and Finn started copying whatever Zephyr did as he gained confidence and experienced a sense a peace that he likely had not felt since he was with his mother.

After a couple of weeks of this, Finn was ready to move on and found his forever home. A family fell in love with Finn just before Christmas, and the reverse was clearly true as well, as the kitten quickly fell asleep on his new human dad's lap.

A video showing some of these special moments has been uploaded to YouTube. Despite being unlisted, it received more than 30,000 views within a week of being uploaded. Many commenters talked about how adorable it and the two cats are.

Have you rescued a kitten from a shelter or from the streets? Was it able to ultimately relax and feel loved and cared?
