Annabelle Ridgeway of Philadelphia certainly caused a stir five years ago when the then four-year-old snuck out of home at 3 am and boarded a bus.
Luckily for mum Jaclyn, the bus driver, Harlan Jenifer made sure the little girl was returned home safely.
The reason for Annabelle's trip? She wanted to get a slushie!
It was 3 am on a Saturday morning in Philadelphia. SEPTA bus driver Harlan Jenifer was driving his route. At one stop there was a very unexpected rider. She was wet from the rain, and her tiny body was shivering. Harlan immediately knew she had no place being out alone at 3 am. Why?
Four-year-old Annabelle had put on her raincoat and shoes, snuck out of her home, and crossed multiple busy roadways to arrive at one of Harlan’s bus stops. Video shows an animated Annabelle talking with the other passengers. Why was she out alone so late?

Apparently, young Annabelle had a 3 am craving for a slushie, as reported here by News.com.au. So, she decided to take the matter into her own little hands by using the bus to get to a store that sold slushies.
Things could’ve gone very wrong if Annabelle would’ve encountered the wrong person. Thankfully, Harlan was there. He kept Annabelle safely on the bus until police could arrive and return her to her parents. Jaclyn Mager, Annabelle’s mom, is calling Harlan a hero and crediting him with saving her child’s life.
Annabelle’s bus trip video has parents equally amused and terrified by the child’s tenacity.
