Tiny homes are all the rage among those looking to downsize. Popularized by television programs on networks like HGTV, many people prefer tiny homes to more traditional living spaces.

The very concept of a tiny home has natural benefits. Not only are tiny homes easier to maintain, they also usually come with minimal mortgages, can fit on virtually any parcel of land, and are ideal for those seeking a minimalist lifestyle. Tiny homes are so popular that many are even available for purchase on Amazon, according to The Sun.

Tiny homes have also gained increased popularity in recent years as they are ideal for those with minimal monetary resources. This is due to the fact that tiny homes can be made from any type of material. In one example, Jack Richens and his girlfriend designed a tiny home from a camper van. The couple turned the simple camper van into a luxurious home, complete with a row of swivel chairs that doubles as dining room chairs reports New Atlas.

While Jack’s camper van might be plush in its own right, a company in Texas recently designed the most comfortable tiny home available on the market. Selling for a cool $40,000, the tiny home is fashioned from a shipping container. At a miniscule 320 feet, the tiny home measures 40′ x 8′ x 9.6′ and comes fully furnished, reports Little Things.

Although small, prospective owners need not worry that they are sacrificing everyday comforts. The tiny home comes complete with a kitchen featuring a large cabinet space, oven range, and full-size refrigerator. The eating area even has a small table for entertaining during mealtime. Off the kitchen is a living room with comfy couch and flatscreen TV. The master bedroom occupies the remainder of the front of the tiny home and has space for a large bed. A bathroom and laundry area with a washer and dryer take up the back portion of the home.

As if the home wasn’t endearing enough, delivery is free if you live within 1,000 miles of Beaumont, Texas. Those interested in purchasing the tiny home can watch a video tour of the structure presented by the YouTube channel Tiny House Listings. The video has thus far been watched over 300,000 times.

What do you think of the tiny home in Texas that was made from a shipping container? Would you be willing to live in a tiny home? How would you describe your dream home?
