Shelter Dog Surprises Workers When He Starts Making His Bed, And The Video Is Quickly Going Viral

Pit bulls often find their way into shelters, because many people see them as dangerous. Fewer people see the dogs as being willing or able to help with household tasks. Rush would beg to differ. Rush a pitbull who found his way to Sicsa pet adoption center, the staff felt they knew what was going to happen too well. Instead, they received a surprise when the dog woke up the next morning.

Staff saw the dog making its own bed. The first time the dog performed this household task, staff thought it was unique, but they did not bring out the cameras. When it became clear that the dog made its bed every morning, Sicsa Pet Adoption Center staff pulled out their cell phone and started recording Rush’s behavior.

It turns out that the pit bull methodically makes his bed every morning. Rush also came to the shelter house broken and got along well with the other animals there.

Staff members quickly put the video of Rush making his bed on the Internet. The video went viral, and mainstream media outlets soon contacted the center.

Realizing the opportunity they had been given, the center used their newfound platform to discuss why pit bulls are not the monsters people perceive them to be. A spokesperson even explained how and why pit bulls can make great pets.
