The most generous people are those who help the most vulnerable members of our society, ones who have been abused and taken for granted and who might not be able to offer anything in return.

They don't see it as being any sort of a burden to help them. The satisfaction of knowing they're making a difference is more than enough. The selflessness of one pet groomer in Florida has had an incredible impact on a dog.

Kari Falla owns Oviedo's BGE Grooming. She's also a member of a Facebook group called "Lost and Found Animals in Orange, Seminole, and Volusia Countries Florida."

Another member, Mary Dixon, posted about a dog lying on the side of the road that was in need of medical assistance. Someone needed to attend to it, and Kari decided that it might as well be her.

Meeting Mary with the dog at BGE Grooming, Kari quickly took care of things, working at her office after hours to get the dog spruced up. Her business has earned a very strong reputation for quality and loving grooming that puts 100 percent focus on every furry customer they have.

For pets who are especially vulnerable and perhaps uncomfortable with the grooming experience, Kari has a special kind of therapeutic treatment that allows there to be trust formed between her and her clients.

When working with this dog, (who she named "Lucky"), Kari spent three hours cleaning him up and getting his excess fur off. It was clear that he was not being taken care of, but we can be glad that there are dedicated people like Kari.

Lucky has since been adopted, and Kari's kindness has given him a new chance at life.

Everyone has gifts that they can share with the world to help make it a better place. Being able to make someone smile or to free them from pain and give them a happier life is one of the greatest things you can do.

Kari clearly sees this as more than just a paycheck. Grooming dogs is like a calling for her, and it's one that she is making the most of.

What do you think of Kari's actions? Have you ever helped an animal in need? Be sure to show this to anyone you know who loves stories of people and animals coming together.
