Shannen Doherty’s Co-Star Reveals Actress Is Staying ‘Strong’ Amid Cancer Diagnosis

Earlier this month, 90210 star Shannen Doherty, 48, revealed she is battling stage IV cancer just three years after going into remission. 

In the wake of the devastating diagnosis, Doherty’s 90210 co-stars Brian Austin Green spoke to US Weekly about the actress, saying she is staying ‘strong’ despite the news. 

Brian Austin Green, 46, spoke to US Weekly about Doherty’s second battle with cancer. 

“I don’t want to speak about her too much, but it’s a hard situation,” he told the publication.

The actor also touched base on his friendship with Doherty, saying the two have a “great relationship.” 

“I mean, you know, cancer is not [sic] easy for anyone. And I love Shannen, and we’ve always had a great relationship, and she’s strong. She’ll get through this and get out of this what she’s supposed to get out of this.”

In an appearance on Good Morning America earlier this month, Doherty revealed she has been battling stage 4 cancer for the past year. The announcement comes just three years after doctors declared her cancer-free. 

Doherty was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer in 2015 and went into remission two years later.
