“But whenever it comes time for me to do it, it feels so final,"

says Shannen Doherty, who currently has stage four breast cancer. In an interview with ELLE last month, the former 'Beverly Hills 90210' star talked about her plans to write letters and making video messages to give to her loved ones.

“I haven’t sat down to write letters. That’s something I need to do ... There are things I need to say to my mom. I want my husband to know what he’s meant to me,” she told the magazine.

“I feel like I’m a very, very healthy human being," she continued. "It’s hard to wrap up your affairs when you feel like you’re going to live another 10 or 15 years.”

The actress turned 49 in April.

Doherty's cancer returned after being in remission for two years starting with a year-long battle from 2016 to 2017. She revealed on Good Morning America in February that she had not "processed it" then and that it was "a bitter pill to swallow."

The return of her cancer was discovered after Doherty went to get a back pain checked late last year, according to ELLE. The cancer was found to have spread to her spine.

But it does not seem like she is slowing down just yet. ELLE reports that she is in the process of starting numerous projects including a new tv show. She is also researching ways to take advantage of her platform for breast cancer advocacy. She took to Instagram last weekend to raise awareness about the risk factors of the disease and provided information about prevention and screening.

“I’m not ready for pasture. I’ve got a lot of life in me,” she says.
