Shania Twain Singing To Her Horse Has Turned Into New At-Home Anthem

Celebrities continue to perform from their homes whilst people across the globe remain in self-isolation. Last weekend was meant to be one of the biggest country music events of the year: the  Academy of Country Music Awards  live at the Grand Ole 'Opry in Nashville.

As this was unable to go ahead due to the COVID-19 pandemic, stars filmed their renditions in their houses for people to watch, and Shania Twain's featured her horse.

The Academy of Country Music Awards has now been moved to September. Rather than make fans wait months to see their favorite artists, a TV special was put together.

According to the LA Times, the "ACM Awards Presents: Our Country," featured performances from a whole array of country stars such as Lady Antebellum, Brad Paisley, Darius Rucker, Luke Bryan, and even Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani. They serenaded their fans whilst in quarantine in their homes.

Shania Twain had some special help for her performance, with a wonderful guest appearance from her horse Meemee, and her dog Melo, reports the LA Times. She performed her songs from her stable, and sang an acoustic version of her top 90s hits "Honey, I’m Home," and "Man, I Feel Like A Woman."

The 54-year-old singer wore a classic brown Stetson, a red cloak, and casual ripped jeans. She perfomed from on top of a hay bale with an acoustic guitar in true country fashion. The friendly horse seemed to be thoroughly enjoying the performance. It moved closer and closer to Twain, almost as if it wanted to sing along too. At one point it even nuzzled her guitar strings!
