Shania Twain is one of Canada’s most beloved stars, known for her incredible musical talent and humanitarian heart.

So it was no surprise when she signed on to be part of ET Canada and the CCMA Foundation’s ‘Canada together: In Concert, Presented by TD.’

The week-long concert series features several famous Canadian performers giving it their all to help unite the country and remain strong during the Covid crisis. Shania is the first performer, kicking off the series with her 1997 hit “Honey I’m Home.”

Casually dressed in a tan hat and a red and black check shirt, Shania sits on a quilt-covered bed with guitar in hand, her famous smile lighting up the video. The background is a log cabin, perfectly in keeping with her rustic Canadian theme.

In an interview with ET Canada to accompany the launch of the music series, Shania offered hope and encouragement.

“I want to send you a smile because no matter how bad things are, I think it’s important to stay positive,” Shania said. “I want to share hope and love and strength to all of you out there who are going through more of a challenging time. My heart is with you and know that I’m thinking of you, we all are.”

She further endeared herself to her fans by adding how lucky she felt that she herself wasn’t sick, but her heart ached for those that were, and she was concerned for them.

Everyone knows Shania herself has faced some hurtful personal issues in the past years, and she has been quiet musically for a long time while she dealt with them. But recently she has been staging her comeback, and eager fans have welcomed her back enthusiastically.

So how has she been keeping busy during her stay-at-home time? She’s spent a lot of time enjoying her family, playing with her dogs, and writing songs. If the pandemic has a silver lining, certainly new music from Shania Twain would be it!

Watching Shania strum her guitar and sing one of her signature songs completely alone in such a personal setting makes the viewer feel like she is sitting right in the room with them.
