Shakira Celebrated Her Birthday On The Same Day As Super Bowl Halftime Show

Shakira spent her birthday in a very special way this year — she was on stage for the halftime show along with Jennifer Lopez at last night's Super Bowl LIV in Miami.

After the show-stopping performance, she tweeted a message of thanks to her fans and team saying that their support was "the best birthday gift."

"We Latinos climbed Kilimanjaro and made history tonight and we couldn’t have done it without all of you!" she continued.

The "Hips Don't Lie" singer spent 12 minutes on a medley of her songs appearing on those of Jennifer Lopez as well like the finale, "Let's Get Loud." She showed off her famous belly dancing moves and went through a total of three costume changes while smiling the entire time.

The high energy and incredible talent she displayed were at the same level as her early career, even though she turned 43 on the day. The performance gave audiences everything they could have wanted, and the roaring crowd at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami exploded at the last note and when Shakira concluded with a heartfelt "Muchas gracias."
