Cora is a sweet little dog who just wants to help everyone. When Idaho-resident Madison Palm first rescued her, she knew that this tiny corgi was something special. But she never thought she'd see Cora reach out like she did at the Seattle airport back in 2018.

Cora was a 7-year old dog when she was rescued by Madison, and nearly all of those years she had spent living outside. Living without a home is harsh for any creature, and Cora had clearly been through a lot. Madison's first plan was to foster Cora until another owner came along, according to The Dodo. The poor dog was underfed and underloved; she'd been a mother to multiple litters of puppies, but she didn't act like she'd ever had a vet visit. If she was going to keep living, this dog was going to need serious love and care.

Luckily, Madison was more than up to this task. She fell in love with Cora quickly after taking the dog into her home. Before she knew it, the foster situation had turned into a forever situation, and the plucky little corgi became part of the family.

The Dog She Raised

Cora's home is in Idaho, as Today reports. She lives happily with Madison and the rest of the family, and she seems to have completely forgotten the problems of her past. But although Cora is a perfect ray of sunshine, the rest of Madson's life isn't quite so wonderful. Madison has problems with anxiety, and she often struggles to make it comfortably through the day.

But as soon as Cora entered her life, Madison started to calm down. The effect was so dramatic that she decided to take the loving corgi to official therapy dog lessons. Cora took to her training right away, and Madison soon found herself bring the dog with her everywhere.

The Dog She Witnessed

Cora's status as a therapy dog might be why she was at the airport when these pictures were taken. This little corgi is definitely sweet and calm enough to be inside. When Madison leaned back to rest at the terminal, she didn't think anything special was about to happen. According to Metro, she told the story on Facebook:

"Cora quietly tip toed away from me during our crazy long layover and plopped herself right next to a complete stranger. He gave her scratches, told her how cute she was, and proceeded to take a photo of her…"

While Madison wasn't looking, Cora identified a stranger who clearly needed her therapy dog skills. The corgi didn't hesitate to walk over and interact with a soul that only she seemed to notice. As soon as Madison noticed the event, she pulled out her phone and snapped a few pictures. Then, she walked over to see what the stranger thought of her adorable dog.

A Moment of Comfort

Cora had good eyes, and she'd noticed that the man sitting alone was incredibly sad. In fact, his own dog had actually passed away just the night before. When Cora showed up in front of him, it was exactly the comfort he needed.

"I believe Cora has the ability to feel sadness and empathy for people. I think she can somehow sense who is experiencing depression, sadness, and loss. She aims to comfort people, it’s her favorite thing to do," Madison told Buzzfeed about her darling canine friend.

"I’ve never had a doubt that Cora can sense those who are hurting and those who need companionship and love. She is a natural born therapy dog in every way. I am so blessed to call her my dog?"

Madison shared her story to Facebook, and it was quickly shared by the rest of the world.

It's obvious to the entire internet that Cora has a special sense for those in emotional trouble. This sweet little corgi could probably fix anyone's day; it's a good thing she was here for this sorrowful man.
