A lot of people understand how hard it is to pay the bills and support themselves and their family. Hard times tend to fall on many people nowadays. David Fabila is no exception. David has three wonderful children already and is expecting a fourth one shortly. He's a great father and wonderful employee.

David works at House of Oliver wine bar in Roseville, California. One night, the restaurant was filled to the brim with customers. He already had a busy day at his day job. Albeit he was extremely tired and lacked energy, he shook off his sleepiness and went to work as hard as he could.

He understood the importance of always being on top of his game while at work. He needed to support his growing family. Everyone wishes someone would pay off all of their problems like a fairy godmother.

Though wish-granting fairies may be scarce, David never would never have imagined just how much his hard work would pay off.

David worked the best that he could given the circumstances. He wanted to impress the tables as best as he could but he couldn't help but admit he was tired. Regardless, he went to each of his assigned tables as quickly as possible in order to satisfy customers. A group of young people gathered on the patio and began ordering almost everything off of the menu.

The bill was around $190 by the time they finished ordering. David was already tired, but now a huge order was on his hands. He sucked it up and went to work.

When he looked at the bill he noticed something odd.

They had tipped him $190, the amount their food cost. David was in shock when he saw it. Rarely do waiters and bartenders receive an appropriate amount of tips, let alone more than that.

Stephen Barr, the man responsible for the big tip, says he was more than happy to pay David that tip. He was in his shoes before when he worked as a waiter in a diner in Texas. He understands the importance of tips.

He is now in a position where he has the resources to tip well so he strives to do so when he goes out. There is now a "Tip The Bill" internet challenge where people are challenged to tip the amount of the bill. This challenge inspired Stephen to pay the tip he did.

Stephen's philosophy is why not make someone else's day if you have the means to?

Tell us what you thought of David and Stephen's story! Do you plan to partake in the "Tip The Bill" challenge? Have you done so already? Pass this on to your friends and family so they can be more aware of the importance of tipping when dining out at restaurants.
