‘P.S. I Love You’, which starred Academy award-winning Hillary Swank reportedly brought in $156 million when it was first released in 2007.

The movie saw Swank’s character Holly Kennedy, a widow, receive a series of letters written by her late husband which aimed to help her find peace with her grief.

According to the Mirror, the sequel is meant to take place seven years following Holly’s husband Gerry’s death.

In Postscript, Holly’s sister convinces the protagonist to make an appearance on her podcast to talk about the letter her husband left behind. The podcast would then inspire a group to leave their own notes for their loved ones to find after their passing.

"The club wants Holly to help them,” the synopsis is continued. “Holly is sure of one thing – no way is she being dragged back to the grief she has left behind. It’s taken seven years to reinvent herself, and she’s ready to move on with her life.”

"But Holly comes to realize that when you love someone, there’s always one more thing to say …"
