Paxton, a 12-year-old Labrador retriever, immediately became best pals with Polly, a days-old blind kitten found crying inside a thicket of trees one chilly night last September.

The initial reaction that pops into our thoughts when we are discussing dos and cats is, “How compatible would a pooch be with my little kitten?” Most folks just jump right to the conclusion that the pairing would be like mixing oil and water.

Yet, it is indeed a possibility that those people just haven’t had the opportunity to see canines and felines truly interact very much with one another.

One woman noticed some meows around her house, and she decided to check it out. Reported by PEOPLE, as a full-time mother of five fur babies, Morgan Webb was able to easily tell what a cat’s meow sounded like. She decided to find out the origin of what sounded like meows of pleading to see what was happening on her farm.

Unfortunately, Morgan was not able to easily discover the cat all by herself, thanks to the thick vegetation on the farm. She had allowed the overgrown to run rampant, and she needed help with discovering where the kitten was.

Morgan’s first thought was to utilize one of her adult cats. She brought the adult cat nearby in order to help sleuth out the kitten’s location. It was not long before they were able to locate the meowing fur baby near a tree stump. Morgan aptly saw that the poor kitten was resting alone on the stump without any signal of the kitten’s siblings or mother.

Either she mysteriously appeared on the farm by magic, or someone irresponsibly abandoned the kitten to the wilderness, and she somehow wound up on Morgan’s farm. Morgan elected to be patient and wait to see if the mother was nearby and would scoop up her erstwhile youngling.

Hours passed with the little kitten still in the same spot. Morgan told Love Meow that she felt so sorry for the little furball that she elected to take the cat home and treat it to a little tenderness and care.

Morgan gave the kitten a bath, and then she proceeded to check the kitten’s fur for any parasites and pests. She named her new kitten friend Polly before introducing her to the rest of the furry family.

At first, the kitten was very skittish of her new environment. This is very typical of new pets, especially where there are already other animals in the area that could give off a vibe of dominance. It was clear that the unfamiliar settings were disturbing to Polly.

Since she had already lost her mother, poor little Polly must have been going through some truly turbulent moments. Thankfully, Morgan’s 12-year old golden Labrador was up to the task of welcoming the new addition to the family; Paxton tried his absolute best to help the sorry kitten feel a bit more at ease.

Paxton was finally able to allow Polly to feel comfortable in her surroundings by giving her the unique attention that only other animals could. The love and care that radiated from the canine were undeniable.

The friendly duo absolutely loves chilling out together as they perform endless activities in the home. When it's time to eat, Paxton would patiently sit until Polly finishes her meal before he laps up the crumbs of her remaining mess.

Morgan would frequently discover Polly and Paxton napping cozily together on a nearby sofa.

They would sleep tightly together at all times. Their uncommon level of silent bonding has taken the net by storm and has accumulated thousands of likes and views on social media.
