Security Worker 'Didn't Realize' He Was 'On Both Jumbotrons' When He Was Caught Dancing During Football Game

A lot of people have that innate performer in them, ready to bust a move whenever they hear the sound of a beat. Some of them want to dance alone in a room, while others enjoy dancing with friends at a club. But there are also those who wish to have the spotlight and be seen by many – and most often than not, it's just all about waiting for the right time. And when people do it to bring joy to others and make them smile, it would definitely feel rewarding once that time comes.

Take it from Michael Galyean, an aspiring actor and dancer, who saw the perfect opportunity to finally show the world his talent – and made everyone who saw it smile, too.

In October 2022, the Tennessee Volunteers football team, simply known as the Vols, won against the Kentucky Wildcats in a game held at Neyland Stadium. Of course, it brought down the house as Vols fans rejoiced over the momentous win.

Galyean appeared to be working as a security guard that day, standing in front of the Tennessee Dance Team as they pumped up the crowd with their dance routine.

Then, someone came to step away as he simply stood in the middle. But Galyean refused to move and instead joined the dance routine.

Much to the surprise of the crowd, he knew every move of the dance routine.

Of course, the video instantly went viral after the Vol Dance Team shared it on both TikTok and Instagram.

And yes, people couldn't stop talking about it.

"Bro was waiting his whole life for this," one user wrote on TikTok.

"I was not a vols fan until this year and I feel like this year was a great time to start," another user wrote.

But it was no surprise that he could pull off smooth moves like the ones he did during the game, as he is a self-confessed performer.

He also set the record straight on Instagram, revealing that he immediately said yes after he was told that the routine would require him to both act and dance.

"The Spirit Program At UT reached out to me explaining they wanted to do a "bit" during the next game that involved some acting and dance and that I was the first person that came to mind. I said… say less," he wrote in his post.

Galyean explained in an Instagram post that he really worked as part of the security before he busted those moves.

"I 'worked' the whole third quarter as sideline security, patrolling the area in front of the student section and in front of the dance team," he said.

Apparently, it was the dance team's coach, Kelly Tafazzoli, who reached out to him. Taffazoli said she knew that Galyean could pull it off.

Explaining why they decided to bring Galyean as part of the routine, Taffazoli told WBIR: "Just kind of a nice, like, a breather from the normal kind of show that we have put out there."

But more than his newfound fame on TikTok, Galyean said it was the way he made people smile that impacted him more than anything else.

"To see the joy that's bringing other people... and that's one of my main goals daily is just to make people smile," he said.

In an interview with WIVK, he officially embraced his monicker "blue shirt guy" – and we're here for it!
