Let's just say that Dave Palazzolo isn't the grumpy neighbor that will yell at you to get off his property. By day Palazzolo and his pals run Canyon Chasers, a motorcycle enthusiast website. By night, he's a racetrack coordinator for the neighbors. This video from August 2020 shows the Salt Lake City native dealing with kids who use his driveway in a clever new way.

According to Dave in his video, he noticed alerts each night on his security footage. He started to watch if it was some random person roaming around his property at night. It was a little kid on a balance bike shredding up his huge driveway.

The kid would ride up and down having the time of his life while his parents and dogs stood waiting on their daily walk. Dave decided something had to be done.

Dave started to draw a racetrack with chalk. The kiddo on the bike took the bait and followed the track each day. If it rained, Dave would draw it again. After a while, Dave wasn't sure who was having the most fun. The boy rode each night. Dave changed up the track every few nights

He added words even though he had no idea if the boy could spell. It said, "Stop" and "Great Job." The track changed colors and directions.

Dave got really good at his construction. He wasn't the only one growing in his talents. Dave noticed the little boy was getting really good at his track. As he practiced, the boy was faster and better on the track. He gave the security camera a thumbs up each time he completed the track.

It wasn't only the little boy that started to use the racetrack. People with strollers, adults on bikes, and anyone just wanting to follow a trail stopped by Dave's driveway.

The little boy grew to a bike without training wheels. He still dropped by Dave's each day to follow his track. This guy needs an award for being an awesome neighbor!
