School Kids Take Over Stage And Light It Up With Adorable "Little Drummer Boy" Performance

Most of us were part of a school choir at some point in our lives and hearing a school choir sing is always a pleasant experience. These children from Killard House School in Ireland, UK, performed an amazing version of the song: "Little Drummer Boy."

The students from the school were aged between four and eight. They made a confident entrance on stage, and then rocked out with their own rendition of "Little Drummer Boy."

None of them seemed to be suffering from stage fright – their parents must have been so proud! It looks like they enjoyed every second of their time singing. To make the performance extra special, the choir decided to have an actual little drummer boy who stood in the corner and played a snare drum to accompany the song.

There are four main singers at the front. It is very clear they are the leaders and will not let themselves be distracted by the other children having fun in the background. All the kids have their own characters to play. Santa is played by the drummer. The four lead singers are the reindeers and the children singing in the background are the elves messing about.

It is great that Killard House School are allowing their children to put on these performances. Learning music in school is very important, not only does it help develop reasoning and rhythm, but it also provides an enjoyable outlet for creativity.

According to Study International, children also learn crucial life skills such as teamwork and collaboration. And most importantly, it gives the children great scope to use their imagination and improvise.

Even though choirs may remind us of the festive season, the joy they bring can be felt all year round. Let us know in the comments section how hearing this makes you feel.
