Sassy Little Toddler Comes Up With Comeback For "Nana" That Has The Internet Cracking Up

An adorable two-year-old girl has turned into a viral sensation after her mother posted a video of the sassy toddler on Facebook. Even more astonishing than her video, however, is her story.

Livi Grace was born with a rare medical condition called osteogenesis imperfecta. Also known as "brittle bone disease," it's characterized by bones and teeth that break easily. The spine can also become curved in dangerous ways as the person gets older.

It's a difficult condition to live with, and poor Livi is no exception.

According to her mother's posts on social media, she's suffered more than 60 bone fractures in her short life, and she's also undergone several major surgeries. The pictures will break your heart: She looks way too small to be wearing a hospital gown.

Despite her health problems, however, Livi is a bright and vibrant child. Her mother proved this by posting a funny video on Facebook that captured the hearts of millions.

In the video, Livi is sitting in a grocery store cart while her grandmother tries to put a pair of slippers on her feet.

"Can we try them on?" she asks. Livi kicks her feet and giggles, and her grandmother playfully scolds her. "Don't you tell me no!"

As her grandmother wags her finger, Livi starts to imitate her, wagging her own finger and babbling something cutely incomprehensible.

"We need to try these shoes on!" her grandmother protests, laughing.

"Don't you fuss at me! Don't you tell nana no! You're a mess."

The final straw comes when her grandmother bends over to put the slippers on Livi's feet. In an unprompted gesture, Livi holds up a single finger and tilts her head to the side with a warning look.

It proves too much for her grandmother and the person filming them. They both start laughing uncontrollably.

When posting the video, Livi's mother wrote, "We like to think God blessed her with a lot of sass to make up for what she lacks physically."

Osteogenesis imperfecta has no cure. However, Livi's family is hopeful that she'll get to experience a regular childhood. She has two older sisters who look out for her, and her attitude towards her illness is perfect. Instead of the tears and tantrums that you'd expect from a toddler, Livi faces everything with bravery.

"Her bones may break," her mother wrote, "but her spirit is truly unbreakable."
