Live performances are when musicians truly get to show off their talents and shine. And what's even better than a performance from a single artist or group is when musicians team up for a duet, especially when the pairing is somewhat unexpected.

That's what happened when rock band 3 Doors Down performed their song Here Without You with the help of country music singer Sara Evans at the JCPenney Jam in Los Angeles in 2006. After the duet, Sara performed her hit song Real Fine Place To Start solo. And although the event was 14 years ago, their performance is certainly one to remember.

Taking place at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium, the JCPenney Jam was a concert event put on for America's kids. The video footage from the event shows 3 Doors Down already onstage as lead singer Brad Arnold announces to the crowd: "Ladies and gentleman, the wonderful, the beautiful, Miss Sara Evans." The crowd cheers loudly, knowing that this duet will surely be a unique one.

Sara takes to the stage and the music begins playing. Brad begins singing the opening lyrics of Here Without You, which the audience notices immediately. He sings the first verse solo before Sara joins in for the chorus, and their chemistry together is impressive to say the least.

Sara then sings the next verse herself and her voice is very well suited to the song. Once again as the chorus comes in, Brad joins and the two sing together. As the song nears its climax, the two of them are harmonizing together and proving that their chemistry is magic, and that really shows in this performance.

The song ends on a big finale and the audience is obviously enjoying it as they cheer loudly. Brad and Sara share a hug before Brad thanks the audience and wishes them goodnight.

The band then leaves the stage while Dr. Phil and his wife, Robin McGraw, appear to have a short chat with Sara. She tells Sara that she and 3 Doors Down sounded incredible, before Dr. Phil asks Sara what she's going to sing next. When Sara says Real Fine Place To Start, the audience begins cheering louder than before, obviously excited to hear the song.

Sara then begins her solo performance – this time the mood is quite different and a much more classic country sound than the earlier rock-leaning atmosphere with 3 Doors Down.

Sara's performance is stunning once again, as she sings her own song beautifully. As the song ends, the audience gives a large round of applause, obviously enjoying every moment of her performance.
