The Christmas season is magical for any child. Houses and storefronts are decorated with pretty lights, crisp winter air blows through the streets, and joy is palpable.

Perhaps the most exciting event of all is the possibility of meeting Santa and telling him what you want for Christmas. This is a near magical experience for kids who would love to be given their favorite toy or another gift.

This last point might be even more meaningful for kids who are facing tough times in their everyday life. The chance to meet Santa is a big deal for any kid. It's also an opportunity to bring about a lot of excitement and happiness.

When Misty Wolf, from Texas, brought her son to meet with Santa, she didn't know that was going to happen. Matthew is autistic and blind, but he adores Mr. Claus and that's clear to everyone.

Misty's worries were assuaged the minute she told St. Nick about her child's condition. In an interview with Love What Matters, Misty said, “I whispered to Santa, ‘He is blind and autistic and is very interested in Santa’. He said, ‘Say no more.’"

He proceeded to kneel down to Matthew's level. Santa talked with Matthew for a very long time and didn't rush the interaction at all. He even let Matthew feel around and told him to tug on his beard and feel the hat. He also talked about his red suit.

Matthew grew more and more comfortable as Santa allowed him to acclimatize in his special way. He even allowed Matthew to touch his eyes. Misty added on her Facebook post, that Santa then asked Matthew if he's ever been able to feel a real reindeer. What child wouldn't love the opportunity to see and feel one of Santa's trusty reindeer? Sure enough, Santa helped Matthew over to an area where a reindeer was on display. Misty called the experience "great" and said that her "heart was full" upon seeing her son so intrigued. She dubbed this Santa the "best Santa ever."

Misty continued on to discuss her son's condition. She told People that he was born 24 weeks premature, and his twin brother wasn't able to survive. Matthew spent 111 days recovering in NICU before being able to leave the hospital with his loving mother. Doctors were afraid that this little fighter wouldn't be able to talk or walk in the future. Matthew's been proving these doctors wrong with each day.
