Santa Uses Sign Language To Help Little Girl During Shopping Mall Visit

The Christmas season is usually the best one of the year for children. You wait all year for presents, you get to watch Christmas movies, and you see family and friends you don’t often get to see! It’s a fun-filled season that revolves around what kids want and what they ask Santa for.

It’s easy to get really excited and emotional this time of the year when you are an eager kid waiting for Santa to come. However, one little girl has a harder time than most expressing just how she feels. Thank goodness this Santa knew just what he should do!

Mali, a 3-year-old from England, went on a shopping trip with her mother at Cleveland Centre’s mall. She was excited to find Santa at Santa’s Grotto so that she could tell him what she wanted for Christmas.

Mali has trouble communicating verbally, so her mother helped her learn sign language in order to give her a way to express herself. When Santa found this out, he asked her mother if she knew how to sign back and forth. She informed him that she was still learning, as reported here at ABC News.

Without further ado, this wonderful mall Santa began to sign to the little girl, making her eyes light up with amazement and delight. She couldn’t believe that Santa of all people knew how to sign. He was able to ask her what she was wanting for Christmas and this beautiful little girl signed it to him. Their back and forth exchange was truly magical to witness.

It was a beautiful moment that was caught on video for everyone to enjoy all over the world. From Mali’s reaction, we can tell that it meant a ton to her. We think that her mother definitely agreed that it did, as well.

We want to take a moment and give major props to this incredible Santa who was able to use what he learned in a situation like this. He was eager to make every child feel special when they came up to him in the mall and sat on his lap. We hope he gets what he wants for Christmas, too!
