Sam Elliott is most known for his work "The Big Lebowski" and playing cowboys in movies. His cowboy movies are so extensive he even has a place in the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum. He was inducted in 2007. He has taken a liking to Western culture. Elliott says he admires the integrity and morals the cowboys had back in the day. That's one of the reasons he enjoys playing cowboy roles so much.

He's been acting since the late 1960s. His lankiness, big moustache, and southern drawl make him appealing to the masses. He typically takes on challenging supportive roles in movies. He prefers realistic roles over fantasy. In an interview, he said he may play a role in a fantasy movie, but it's not his goal.

Sam Elliott is currently on a press tour due to his new film release, allowing him to do even more comedic acts.

His latest movie, A Star Is Born, is a classic remake of the movie of the same name. It stars Elliott and Lady Gaga. The synopsis is about a well-known musician who falls in love with a struggling musician. Elliott plays the lead's brother and manager. The movie is hyped up due to the amazing cast working to create the film. Immediately, the film received wonderful reviews for the talented actors and the outstanding crew who worked behind the scenes.

Recently, Sam Elliott went on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. There he discussed the movie and previous works he's done. He revealed he's done different voice-overs including Smoky The Bear and Coors beer. After this revelation, Colbert asked Elliott if he would use one of his voices and speak a few of Lady Gaga's lyrics.

He began reciting the lyrics to smash-hits "Pocker Face", "Bad Romance", and "Born This Way." What made the performance so funny is that he spoke in a southern drawl that was extremely low in tone. The audience was in hysterics from his comedy routine.
