The striking similarities between the royals are very clear. Prince William and Prince Harry look like the perfect mix of their parents, Prince Charles and Princess Diana. And now that Prince William and Kate Middleton’s children are growing up, it is clear to see they are starting to look like not only their parents but their grandparents and great-greandparents on both sides too.

Prince George is looking more and more like Kate Middleton’s father, and little Princess Charlotte is looking like her great-granny Queen Elizabeth II. All three children also look like other members of their family, depending on their age and the photo in question.

The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were photographed with their three children on a family evening out earlier this month. They were invited to attend The National Lottery's Pantoland At The Palladium in London.

The caption of the Twitter post explained that the family was there for a special one-off performance in the iconic theater venue. The show was held in honor of and to show appreciation for all frontline workers and their families, who have done so much to care for and keep people safe during the pandemic.

The caption stated: “The Duke and Duchess and their family attended a special pantomime performance of The National Lottery’s Pantoland at The Palladium, which was held to thank key workers and their families for their phenomenal efforts this year.”

When the images and video were published, fans of the royals were quick to comment on how the adorable youngsters look like their older family members.

Prince William and Kate Middleton married on April 29, 2011, in Westminster Abbey. Kate Middleton, 38, gave birth to her eldest child, Prince George, on July 22, 2013, at St. Mary’s Hospital in London. The young prince is third in line to the throne and could one day be king of England. The seven-year-old now has a personality all of his own, but as he gets older, he is beginning to look a lot like his dad, Prince William, 38.

Princess Charlotte, the couple’s second child, was born on May 2, 2015, and has also inherited the strong family genes. People are commenting saying the five-year-old looks like her dad, Prince William, but also like her great-grandmother, the Queen. Everyone has been calling Princess Charlotte the "mini-me" version of Prince William. Especially after seeing this year’s royal Christmas card! When the royals posted a photo of the image they used for the front of their 2020 Christmas card fans around the world were delighted.

Kate Middleton and Prince William shared their official 2020 Christmas card on the Kensington Royal social media account. The photo was taken by award-winning photographer Matt Porteous from the island of Jersey in the UK.

Kensington Palace added a caption to the post, saying, "The Duke and Duchess are delighted to share a new image of their family, which features on their Christmas card this year."

The cute portrait shows each member of the family wearing classic country attire in autumnal colors, including warm trousers and cozy jumpers. They are all smiling warmly as they sit on hay bales with chopped firewood in the background. A true Christmas shot!

Prince George is leaning against his dad, and Prince Louis is standing between William's legs. His mouth is wide open mid-laugh, something that is sure to cheer us all up! Express reports the card was addressed to NHS workers and brought a smile to the faces of everyone who received it, and even those who didn’t took to social media to talk about how wonderful the image is.

Prince Louis is the newest member of Prince William and Kate Middleton’s family. He was born on April 23, 2018. In photos to mark his second birthday this year people were quick to point out that Louis does in fact look like his mom. A source close to Kate Middleton told People, how happy Kate is when people say little Louis looks like her as she thinks he is the only Cambridge child who truly looks like her and has the strongest Middleton genes.

"Everyone always comments on how Louis is the spitting image of Kate. She loves it and thinks it’s very sweet; she often jokes that he’s the only one of her kids who actually looks like her!the friend told People.

A number of photos were released on the official account for the Duke and Duchess showing the family together for the evening out. They were all dressed smartly, as one would for such an occasion! The family looked radiant together, as they walked down the red carpet, posing for photos, but also having some natural shots taken as they watched the performance from their royal box, and then later greeted some of the performers. Mom and dad looked really proud of their kids being so brave and composed in the limelight.

The caption for the post read: “Before the performance, The Duke delivered a short speech to thank those across the country for the sacrifices they have made to keep the country operating and to support their communities throughout the COVID-19 pandemic. During the interval, The Duke and Duchess also met a small number of key worker families to hear more about their experiences over the past year, before popping backstage to thank the cast and crew.”

Therefore, this event brought double joy to people. Not only did the public get the opportunity to witness the adorable family all together, but the event was being held for the benefit of so many people who are working tirelessly throughout the pandemic.

A number of people agreed that Princess Charlotte was the spitting image of her great grandmother, the Queen while Prince Louis resembled Kate's father, Michael Middleton. According to HELLO, one person wrote: "Louis looks like Kate’s father," and others chimed in with their agreement, adding: "Yes I thought that," and: "He really does!" Another commenter added: "I think both the boys do." However, many disagreed and believed that actually Louis looks a lot like his mom, and Charlotte looks more like her dad.

HELLO reports that for the British Mother’s Day in March the royal couple shared a photo of Prince William and Prince Harry when they were young with their mother Princess Diana, they also did the same for Kate’s side of the family, showing another photo of Carole Middleton with Kate Middleton when she was younger. The pair copied the same format for William and Kate's British Father's Day post. Kate's picture captured her as a child posing with Michael in a checkered shirt and jeans.

In an interview with Giovanna Fletcher at the start of the year, on her podcast aptly named “Happy Mum, Happy Baby,” Kate revealed some memories of her childhood.

"One is quality of relationships. So, those moments that you spend with people that are around you. I remember that from my own childhood. I had an amazing Granny who devoted a lot of time to us, playing with us, doing arts and crafts and going to the greenhouse to do gardening, and cooking with us, and I try and incorporate a lot of the experiences that she gave us at the time into the experiences that I give my children now," she said.

When seeing Prince William's picture with Prince Charles, keen fans of the royals didn’t hesitate to point out the fact that the younger Duchess and her son Louis looked incredibly similar. Other commenters stated that the two-year-old and his older brother, George resembled their mother.

It’s safe to say that it is definitely a close call as to who Princess Charlotte resembles, and this close tie is between her father, Prince William, and the Queen. In celebration of Charlotte’s fifth birthday in May, William and Kate released some birthday pictures. These portraits of the Princess highlighted the visual similarities she has with both her dad and great-grandmother. Her fifth birthday portrait was also compared with her father's 1988 image and Queen Elizabeth's 1935 picture.

When you compare them all together, it's impossible not to see the resemblance! "Right! Charlotte is all William. Especially those eyes” said one social media user. Another said, "The boys are pure Middleton. Maybe the balding gene skipped them too!" "They’re a beautiful and happy family. I agree that Charlotte looks like William,” said one person. Another royal superfan said, "Louis is a blast! I’m glad George is smiling now."
