Royal Fans Captivated By Resurfaced Footage Of Queen Elizabeth II Saying 'Nah'

Queen Elizabeth II, along with the rest of the royal family, is known for her prim and proper stance. The "stiff upper lip" and very dignified behavior is quite expected of most royals and notable personalities in the U.K., and it seems that they hardly ever diverge from this script. In fact, becoming a royal, either through marriage or by birth, means that most of a person's life is lived according to very strict rules.
To most people who have not grown up royal, the rules and regulations that govern the royal family and household may seem somewhat arbitrary. Simple things, such as how a person has to sit in public, follow stringent rules that cannot be broken. Other rules that people may be familiar with relating to bows and curtsies for major members of the royal family, marriage proposals requiring permission from the queen and wedding dresses requiring the queen's approval — among a myriad of rules, according to Harper's Bazaar.
Even though there have been many examples that show us that royals are also regular people just like us, most of us would have a hard time believing it. With the younger royals, such as Prince William and Prince Harry, this fact is easier to make sense of, as they have made an important effort to become more relatable to the youth, but when it comes to the queen, almost no one can relate to her. After all, Elizabeth is the longest-reigning living monarch today, and at 95 years old, she has been through more than most people.
However, an old video of the queen from 2005 shows us that the queen can be "like every bloke in the UK."

The Mirror reported that a TikTok user uploaded the original clip that has royal fans in hysterics. In the video, Elizabeth is captured posing for a royal portrait that commemorated her 80th birthday. The queen told the artist that she could see herself aging through the years, and when she was asked if that upset her, she very casually said "Nah."
The way in which the queen said "nah" has become somewhat of a sensation because it seemed that for a moment, she may have forgotten that she was a royal. The video was reportedly captioned, "The Queen answering a question like every bloke in the UK."
Fans have since been commenting on the video, with one person saying: "She forgot she was the Queen for a second." Another person commented, "Literally turned into Phil Mitchell."
The portrait that the queen posed for was commissioned for her 80th birthday and was created by artist Rolf Harris in 2005, who has since been disgraced. The Mirror reported that the painting was unveiled at the Queen's Gallery in Buckingham Palace and publicly displayed there from 2005 to 2006.
Harris was sentenced to prison in June 2014 for five years and nine months. However, he was then released on parole in May 2017 after spending three years in jail. The conviction was later overturned after an appeal. The queen's portrait that was created by Harris was removed from the monarch's gallery, but its current location is unclear. The piece was displayed in 2012 at Liverpool's Walker Gallery as part of a show of Harris' work.
