Rosemary Clooney’s Grandchild Tessa Is A Clone Of Her Grandma And Follows In Her Legendary Footsteps

The late, great, Rosemary Clooney was a talent like none other. She left behind a legacy of iconic jazz records and an acting résumé that included “White Christmas” (1954). She was also the matriarch of a family that included five children and ten grandchildren.

Her famous nephew George followed in her footsteps but it is one of her granddaughters who fans think looks exactly like her grandmother.

NPR profiled Rosemary for their “Jazz Profiles” series and traced her career from humble beginnings in Maysville, Kentucky to one of the greatest jazz-based vocalists in the American songbook. Once her career took off in the 1950s, she married actor Jose Ferrer and the couple had five children together.

It would seem that the show-business gene runs in the family not just with singing but acting too. George Clooney is a giant Hollywood star and Rosemary’s granddaughter Tessa Ferrer is also a successful actress.

IMDB says Tessa is the daughter of Rosemary’s son Gabriel Ferrer and Debby Boone—the daughter of Pat and Shirley Boone. There is a lot of musical lineage in the family: Debby earned a #1 hit with the song “You Light Up My Life” in 1977 but Tessa decided to take another path and went into acting.

She is known for her work in the movie “Insidious: The Last Key” and the long-running TV show “Grey’s Anatomy.” There she played Dr. Leah Murphy, a surgical resident at Grey Sloan Memorial.

Her face shares the same delicate features as her grandmother’s and she also has the same sleek blonde hair.

Fans can get a glimpse into the family life of Rosemary Clooney through her daughter-in-law Debby Boone’s 2002 record “Reflections of Rosemary.” Debby told her record company Concord that in it, she “wanted to select songs that would give an insight into Rosemary from a family perspective.”
