Ron Howard Has Nothing But The Sweetest Words For His Wife Of Over 44 Years: "There Was Never Anybody Else"

Love at first sight is rather elusive, but according to acclaimed actor and director Ron Howard, once he met his wife Cheryl, he instantly knew she was his soulmate and that there was nobody else for him.

According to an interview Howard did with People Magazine earlier this year, the two met when they were attending the John Burroughs High School in Burbank, California. 

“I met her, and there was never anybody else.”

This proved to be much more than a hunch, as the couple has celebrated over forty years of marriage and share four children, including a set of twins.

Despite the two of them inching toward a half-century of wedded bliss, they have refused to let their passion diminish. Howard claims that the secret to a smooth relationship is communication.

He went on to explain,

“People say, ‘How’d you do it?’ There’s no technique. There’s no tactic other than communication is really important. You have to learn to communicate and have difficult conversations in constructive ways. Beyond that, there’s an element of luck because people either grow together or they don’t, and I don’t think you can force that.”

Ron has publicly praised his bride for being supportive and has said that their compatibility has endured a multitude of experiences.
