Some of the most memorable musical performances are captured live and onstage. Everyone remembers Santana and Jimi Hendrix really turning up the volume at the original Woodstock.

That is why it's so special that Rod Stewart was joined by his daughter Ruby while on tour in South America, where they performed a duet cover of Bob Dylan's Forever Young. Not only is it a moment that the father and daughter will remember for a long time, but thanks to a video recording, fans around the world can too.

In February 2014, legendary British rock star Rod Stewart was in the midst of a concert tour in South America when he invited a special guest to join him onstage for a rendition of Forever Young. The guest happened to be his own daughter, and the video of this performance has attained viral status over the years.

Ruby Stewart is the fourth child of Rod Stewart; she was born in 1987 after her father's peak rockstar years. Since Rod Stewart has been married to various fashion models over the years, particularly those who have appeared on the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Issue, two of his daughters have turned to modeling, and this is what Ruby also did on account of the model looks she inherited from her mother Kelly Emberg.

Although Ruby was fairly successful as a lingerie model, by 2010 she had already decided to follow in her father's musical footsteps as she formed a rock band based in Los Angeles. But that first project only lasted a couple of years, according to Express & Star.

While Ruby was still figuring out her next move as a musician, she contemplated advice given by her father, a man who has never shied away from exploring different genres to make hit songs.

Ruby discovered that her sweet and feminine voice would be appropriate for American country music, which prompted her to switch from art house rock to a more folksy sound that paid homage to her Southern California roots. This resulted in The Sisterhood, a duo that has previously opened for Rod Stewart while on tour, and this is probably why we are still in love with their rendition of Forever Young, a Bob Dylan song that dates back to 1973. Of the many versions of Forever Young, you have probably heard the Rod Stewart cover more than once because it was a big hit in the late 1980s.

You should do yourself a favor and watch this video of Rod with his daughter Ruby singing a great duet of Forever Young. Once you are done, pass it around to your friends because this is one of the best versions of this classic song.
