Ruby and her dad strummed guitars while they sang a few classics starting off with "Ooh La La" by the Faces while sitting on a couch in Rod's home in Florida. They moved on to the piano room for more songs including "Love Is" and a big family rendition of "Forever Young" where Rod's wife Penny and his grandchildren joined in for.

The dynamic duo were naturals in their performances and it's because music runs in the family — Ruby is also a singer who is in the band The Sisterhood. The father-daughter team also told the story during the performance of "Swing Lo Sweet Chariot," of how Rod took Ruby to the studio when she was a young 13-year-old to start recording tracks.

The Livestream was not all just for fun though, they were getting together to raise funds to fight the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.

"We’re trying to help the WHO get the funds they need to tackle the coronavirus," Ruby said on the Instagram Live. "We’re happy to be coming to you from home, where we’re all practicing social distancing. But this is more than just a concert: We’re asking all of you to take meaningful action to stop the coronavirus."

Don't worry if you missed the live performance, it can still be seen here:

What a lovely performance for a good cause. Do you ever sing with your kids or your parents? Pass on this performance to show them and other Rod Stewart fans you might know.
