The new YouTube channel, which already has thousands of subscribers, uploaded its first video two weeks ago — a 30-second compilation of the late actor’s work titled “Introducing...Robin Williams on YouTube!” To encourage more viewers to subscribe, the channel is also hosting a sweepstakes for its subscribers during the month of April in which fans can win Time Life’s Robin Williams: Comic Genius 22-DVD Deluxe Box Set.

“The Official Robin Williams YouTube Channel celebrates the life and comic genius of Robin Williams,” the channel wrote. “Whether you know Robin from the stage or from the screen, as a comedian, an alien, or a genie – be prepared to laugh and cry at these unforgettable and hilarious performances by Robin.”

As of the beginning of April, the channel currently features two of Williams’s bits — one on Koko the gorilla and the other one on golf — from his live performance on Broadway back in 2002, part of the HBO special Live on Broadway. The official YouTube channel also has a short interview with comedian Lewis Black, who talks about his friendship with Williams.

The Academy award-winning actor was known for his wild, goofy and sometimes frenetic comedy persona that found its way into family movies central to American culture like Hook and Jumanji. But Williams wasn’t just the funny guy in Hollywood. He also showed tremendous range, starring in more serious dramas like Dead Poets Society and Good Will Hunting, for which he won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. The well-liked comedian died on Aug. 11, 2014 at his home in Tiburon, California at the age of 63 after the actor took his own life, according to The New York Times.

Williams was survived by his wife, Susan Schneider, his son Zak, his son Cody and his daughter Zelda. His death shocked the country, leading to an outpour of tributes and support from figures as high up and well known as then-President Barack Obama.

“Robin Williams was an airman, a doctor, a genie, a nanny, a president, a professor, a bangarang Peter Pan, and everything in between.  But he was one of a kind,” President Obama said in a White House statement. “He arrived in our lives as an alien – but he ended up touching every element of the human spirit.  He made us laugh. He made us cry. He gave his immeasurable talent freely and generously to those who needed it most – from our troops stationed abroad to the marginalized on our own streets.”

To continue to remember Williams’s unforgettable career, fans of the inimitable comic can look forward to new videos on the official YouTube channel every week, according to the channel’s first video.
