Robin Williams "Always Required Film Companies To Hire Homeless People" In Order To Be Booked

It has been five long years since Robin Williams passed away. Since then, many people have taken to sharing stories of the beloved comedian.

One fan, Brian Lord, shared a wonderful story concerning the actor. He was shocked to learn what Robin Williams asked for when he was shooting a movie or attending a big event.

Lord wrote on his blog that one of Robin William's requests was to have staff employ homeless people for his movies or to work at any events he was a part of. For every single one of his films or events, Williams required that a certain number of homeless men and women were hired and put to work. 

We aren't surprised to hear this from an amazing actor! While most celebrities wouldn't even want the homeless near their set, Williams was something special.

Movie stars typically make a lot of strange and outrageous requests. For example, Lady Gaga requested a mannequin that had to have pink puffy pubic hair, and Mariah Carey needs to have a supply of vitamin water on hand in order to bathe her dog. But we aren't at all surprised to hear about what Robin Williams wanted.

Lord stated that the request was in hand with Williams' desire to help others who were in need. He went on to write that he was never able to watch a movie with Robin Williams the same way after he learned what Williams required. He wishes he could thank him for the laughs and the wonderful example. He truly was a star that we could all admire!

He talked about a time where Robin Williams sat at a comedian benefit gig and laughed along with the new comedians on stage. He stated that they were blown away by the support of such a famous man. Ben Stiller also wrote a wonderful tribute to the star after his death, calling him kind, generous, and funny.
