Good things come to those who wait, and such was the case for actor Burt Ward. After playing Robin alongside actor Adam West's Batman in the hit TV show over 50 years ago, Burt has now received his own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Surrounded by actors dressed up as Batman, Robin, Catwoman, and many more recognizable characters from the cult TV show, Burt was thrilled to receive his Walk of Fame star on 9 January, as reported here at ABC7 news.

Running from 1966-1968, the role of the enthusiastic superhero was a dream come true for Burt, who was aged 21 when the show began.

Now 74 years of age, Burt joked about receiving the coveted acknowledgment:  “It’s only been 50 years,” he said, “And I am a patient person.”

Although the show wrapped up in 1968, Burt went on the reprise the role on 'The New Adventures of Batman', 'Legends of the Superheroes','Batman: Return of the Caped Crusaders','Batman vs. Two-Face' and 'Crisis on Infinite Earths' as well as the feature film.

Sadly, Burt's co-star Adam West passed away in 2017 so he was not able to share the experience with his trusty sidekick. However, Burt's star sits right along Adam's, which was presented to the actor back in 2012.
