A Positive Note

Redford stars in his final film, in which he plays a character called Forrest Tucker, along with such stars as Danny Glover, Casey Affleck, Sissy Spacek and Elisabeth Moss. He described the film as being upbeat and said that was one reason he decided to make it his final film.

Redford had indicated two years ago that he was tiring of acting and the grueling schedule of filmmaking. He says that in particular he is tired of doing multiple takes and that he would like t spend time sketching instead.

An Illustrious Career

Redford is one of the great movie stars of all time. He was in a number of classic films of the 1970s including "The Way We Were," "All the President's Men" and "Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid." In 2016, former President Barack Obama awarded him the Presidential Medal of Freedom for his work in the arts.
