Robert Forster, Oscar Nominee And "Jackie Brown" Star, Has Died After Difficult Brain Cancer Battle, Aged 78

Star of TV and movies Robert Forster has passed away on October 11, 2019 from a long-standing battle with brain cancer at 78-years-old.

Forster was a veteran actor with a storied career that included an Oscar nomination for his role as Max Cherry in ‘Jackie Brown.’ His publicist confirmed to Time magazine that he passed away in L.A. surrounded by family, including his partner Denise Grayson and four children.

His résumé is a testament to the fact that that he was a highly talented actor, working with everyone from David Lynch in ‘Mulholland Drive’ and ‘Twin Peaks,’ to the legendary John Huston in his 1967 film debut in ‘Reflections in a Golden Eye.’

Fans would also spot the character actor in ‘Breaking Bad’ starring opposite Bryan Cranston, who gave him a fond farewell on social media. He called him “A lovely man and a consummate actor” on Twitter. Samuel L. Jackson also mourned the actor’s death on Twitter calling him a “truly class act.”

Forster will be remembered for his six decade career in the movie business, adding so much to dozens of film and television projects with his talent. He will also appear in the upcoming Apple+ Steven Spielberg series “Amazing Stories.”
