Robert Evans The ‘Chinatown’ Producer And Paramount Chief Has Passed Away At 89

Robert Evans, the legendary Hollywood producer, passed away on Saturday, October 26, he was 89-years-old. Although gone, Evan's life and memory live on through his movies and the mark he left on Hollywood. 

According to Variety, Evans first started out acting however he wasn't especially talented in front of the camera, with almost no studio experience Paramount gave him a  job in production in the 1960s. The decision turned out to be favorable as Evans went on to make classics like, "Chinatown,"(1974) "Marathon Man,"(1976) and "Urban Cowboy"(1980).

However, Evans's personal life was a different story. He was married and divorced seven times throughout his lifetime. One particular public separation occurred when his wife Ali MacGraw left Evans for her co-star Steve McQueen in their 1972 film "The Getaway."

Other notable productions throughout Evans' life include the animated series, "Kid Notorious,"(2003) and the romantic comedy "How To Lose A Guy In 10 Days"(2003). Evans is survived by his son Josh who is also an actor and director and a grandson.
