Rita Wilson Enthuses Over Marriage To The Love Of Her Life, Actor Tom Hanks

When actress Rita Wilson was honored with a star on Hollywood Boulevard's Walk of Fame in 2019, she held a touching acceptance speech gushing about her relationship with husband Tom Hanks.

In her speech, Rita revealed the secret to their 30-year-long marriage and explained why they are still so fond of each other after all these years:

“We got married, we committed to each other, we love each other and we work hard at our relationship,” the actress told US Weekly. “Not only do we love each other, we really like each other, and we like being together, and we support each other and we keep the communication channels open. That’s always important.”

Rita further spoke about growing up and chasing her dreams in Hollywood. She also continued to rave about Hanks and the beautiful family they now call their own:

“This town has allowed me to pursue my dreams, in my own backyard,” she said in her speech as US Weekly reports. “It has led me to the love of my life, Tom Hanks, and it has brought me the blessings of our children, Chet, Truman, Colin and his wife, Samantha, my daughter, Elizabeth, and our granddaughters, Michaiah, Charlotte and Olivia.”

However, Rita wasn’t the only one who had some loving words to say. After she was honored with her own star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, husband Tom Hanks couldn’t keep himself from gushing about his talented wife:

“The roles in stage and film and television just kept finding her, and she inhabited characters and charmed audiences and stole scenes from those of the stars in the movies, and has a highlight reel that any of us would envy,” Hanks said as US Weekly reports.

Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson truly are one of the most affectionate couples in Hollywood and continue to praise each other whenever they talk about their relationship. While most Hollywood couples seem to have the tendency to not last very long, these two seem to be one of the few exceptions. We are more than excited to see them celebrate many more years of their marriage!
