Richard Gere, 70, Covertly Welcomes Second Child With Wife Alejandra Silva

It's time to extend congratulations to Richard Gere and his wife Alejandra Silva because they've welcomed their second child together–a baby boy–into the world!

The new addition to the family has turned their first child, Alexander, into a big brother as the family spends bonding time together in Pound Ridge, New York.

 HOLA!, a Spanish magazine confirmed the news and said that the couple is bonding with their new son at their ranch that sits on Pound Ridge, which is just outside of New York. The newborn is a baby brother for the couple's first child, Alexander, who is now two years old and was born in February 2018.

Richard, 70 and Spanish activist Alejandra, 37, both have children from previous relationships. The 'Pretty Woman' star Richard shares his 20-year-old son Homer with his ex-wife Carey Lovell. Alejandra had her seven-year-old son Albert during her previous marriage with now ex-husband, businessman Govind Friedland.

The couple has had a busy couple of years since they tied the knot back in April of 2018. The couple got married via a romantic ceremony that was held on Richard's same ranch where they are now bonding with their son. 

When sharing wedding photos with HELLO!, Alejandra told the magazine about her wedding:

 "I feel like I'm in a true fairytale. Without a doubt, I feel like the luckiest woman in the world."

Richard then added: 

"I'm the happiest man in the universe. How could I not be? I'm married to a beautiful woman who is smart, sensitive, committed to helping people, who's fun, patient, who knows how to forgive, who's a great cook – and who makes the best salads in the world!"

According to the interview, Richard had initially won Alejandra over by sending her flowers until she agreed to date him.

When speaking about her husband, Alejandra said:

"He is the most humble, sensitive, affectionate, attentive, funny, generous man that I've ever met. What can I say? I'm so in love! How would you feel if each morning you were asked: 'What would make you happy today?' Not a day goes by that he doesn't mention how important I am to him. I feel very lucky."
