Horses are beautiful, majestic, and powerful creatures when they are cared for properly. When a young woman saw a pen full of neglected and emaciated horses, she knew she had to do something to help them. Her brave decision led the horses down the path to recovery.

After seeing a horse named Rosie contort her head under an electrified fence attempting to eat nearby grass that was just out of reach, a young woman began trying to sneak her and two other horses in her enclosure food. When she was scolded after being caught in the act, she placed an anonymous call to Lucky Orphans Horse Rescue in an attempt to save the abused horses.

Thanks to Amanda’s call Rosie and the other two horses, one named Midnight and the other Rosie's daughter Britt, were rescued. The horses were in very bad shape with ribs clearly showing through their patchy and shedding coats according to a video by The Dodo. Rosie seemed to be extremely sad and withdrawn. Deanna, the owner of the horse rescue, asked Amanda to help nurse the horses back to health since she had a special bond with the three, especially Rosie.

For weeks, the horses were fed and groomed and slowly regained their strength. When they were strong enough, they were given the opportunity to spend some time outside in an open field. At first, the horses seemed almost disoriented as they explored their new surroundings. However, they soon started confidently galloping through the field to the delight of the gathered onlookers.

Amanda’s brave decision to do something to help the abused horses led them to a much happier life. Send this story of friendship to someone in your life who is always there to lend a helping hand.
