Australian actress Rebel Wilson is best known for her roles in comedies such as "Pitch Perfect," "Bridesmaids" and "Isn't It Romantic," among other film roles. Wilson has easily captured the hearts and attention of people from all over the world with her charm, wit and overall funny personality.
Born on March 2, 1980, in Sydney, Australia, Wilson pursued a degree in theater and performance studies and graduated in 2009. It was only a short while later that she went on to finally make her mark in the entertainment industry and has since become one of the most beloved actresses in comedy.
Wilson has made headlines in recent years due to her dramatic weight loss. She described 2020 as her "year of health," and had come close to her target weight thanks to a dedicated regimen of diet and exercise that worked out well. The actress said in an interview with The Sun that she finally decided to stop listening to film studio bosses who had reportedly paid her to "stay bigger."
Wilson later revealed her health journey was prompted by her desire to become a mother. After struggling to conceive, Wilson happily announced on Instagram on Nov. 7, 2022, that she had welcomed a baby boy via surrogate.
"Beyond proud to announce the birth of my first child, Royce Lillian, born this past week via surrogate," the actress wrote.
Now, the actress is in the headlines once again for comments she made about royal couple Prince Harry and Meghan Markle. When she appeared on the show "Watch What Happens Live!," Wilson spilled the details about meeting the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, but it seems her impression of the two couldn't have been more different.

Wilson was chatting to host Andy Cohen when she said that she'd met Prince Harry and Meghan in Santa Barbara, through a mutual friend who she did not name but revealed was a polo player. Sky News stated it is believed to be Argentine polo player Nacho Figueras, who is credited with convincing Harry to play the sport again after moving to the US.
The actress said Harry was "lovely" and "could not have been nicer," but she didn't have the same to say about Meghan.
"But then Meghan was not as cool. She wasn't as naturally warm," Wilson recalled.
However, she quickly followed up with more details that perhaps explain why Meghan was not so friendly to Wilson and her mother, Sue Bownds. "And then my mum being Australian just asked her all these, like slightly rude questions." Cohen asked what kind of questions, to which Wilson replied: "Where are your kids?"
"And I'm like, 'Mom, don't ask her that," Wilson said, and acknowledged, "Maybe that's why she was like, 'Who are these annoying convicts from Australia?"
People on social media were divided about Wilson's tell-all comments. On the one hand, some Twitter users didn't see the big deal about asking someone about their children.
"It's never rude asking about someones kids..." one person wrote, and added, "it shows interest in person and family."
Another said: "You could just answer the affectionate question: 'oh they are doing great, thanks for asking. They probably running around at home with my mum' You don’t have to be cold or rude."

However, others pointed out the brazenness of Wilson admitting her mother asked "rude questions" but expected courtesy from the royal in return.
"My mom asked Meghan really rude questions but she still should have been nice??? Get real, lady," someone wrote on Twitter.
Another person on the platform shared: "Weird that she wasn't super warm and cuddly to you when your mom was being super out of line! Your mom didn't ask Harry 'where are your kids?' Rude and sexist. You should never have told this story on the air."
The conversation on Twitter descended into users exclaiming that Australians, in general, don't like the Sussexes, while others accused Wilson of racism. "A white woman who can’t take the fact that Prince Harry loves a black women. So of course she’s say (sic) she wasn’t as nice," someone wrote.
Meanwhile, other people called out Cohen for being "very bold" and "shooting for rating(s)" by "disrespecting" Meghan in the first place.
In other news about Wilson, the actress told Hasan Minhaj on "The Daily Show" she got banned from Disneyland for 30 days for taking a "photo inside a secret bathroom, which is illegal." She didn't elaborate on the lavatory in question but admitted the punishment came when it was suitable for her.
"I got officially banned for 30 days. They called me up and said, 'Rebel what 30 days did you not want to come to Disneyland because you’re away filming a movie or something?' And I was like, 'Oh, well, June would be fine.'"
