Reba McEntire Gushes Over Sweet Romance With Boyfriend Rex Linn

Roughly five years after her divorce from husband Narvel Blackstock, country music legend Reba McEntire has found love again. According to the multi-talented McEntire, new beau Rex Linn came into her life at the right time. McEntire's decision to get divorced and have a subsequent breakup has led her to what seems like an ideal relationship with actor Rex Linn whom she met this year.

It didn't take Reba McEntire long to find a relationship after her marriage to longtime husband Narvel Blackstock ended in 2015. However, her relationship with Skeeter Lasuzzo didn't work out either, ending after two years. But the country starlet turned TV sitcom star has once again found love. Rex Linn is McEntire's new boyfriend, according to People.

Many of McEntire's fans were stunned when she announced her split from Blackstock. According to the Daily Mail, the singer told iHeartRadio station CMT Radio Live in 2016 that she knew that if she was going to experience true happiness, she needed to "take my marbles, go play somewhere else."

"It's good to have a person to talk to, laugh with, get into subjects about what's going on," McEntire said of Linn in October during an interview on her Living & Learning podcast, according to People. "Discussions about our past, our family, funny stories, him being an actor, me being an actress. And he's very into my music. I'm very into his career."

After her 2015 divorce and before McEntire found Linn, the country star found herself in a new courtship with Skeeter Lasuzzo. The pair stayed together for two years, but McEntire has admitted that she had fallen out of love with Lasuzzo before they decided to call it quits in 2019. By January 2020, Linn walked into Reba's life, and she found somewhere new to "take her marbles."

"It's just great getting to talk to somebody who I find very interesting, very funny, very smart, and is interested in me, too," McEntire added on Living & Learning, according to People.

Linn may look familiar to some fans, as he had established a successful acting career long before he and Reba met and became a couple. He's known for his roles in movies such as Rush Hour, Wyatt Earp, and Cliffhangers, as his IMDB page details.  Most recently, the 64-year-old actor has worked in television, starring in the TV series Young Sheldon as Principal Petersen.

Perhaps that's why McEntire and Linn get along — they can both compare notes, discuss, and complain about showbusiness. For those who don't know, McEntire is perhaps best known for starring on the television show Reba, which ran from 2001 to 2007, according to IMDB. Most recently, she's had appearances on television as June in Young Sheldon, the same television series that Linn works on, and as Motsuki's Mother in PJ Masks. Regardless of what ties these two together, it's clear that they have a lot in common professionally. And that's nice to see, especially since Hollywood romances often seem so toxic and short-lived. But perhaps this relationship seems to be going so well because they both have experience.

Reba's public dating life goes back to 1976 when she married her first husband, Charlie Battles. After a decade together and no children, the couple split. It was then that McEntire entered a relationship with Blackstock. Blackstock, who was also Reba's manager, was with the starlet from that point until 2015. While McEntire's love life had been relatively stable since the marriage to Blackstock, the last couple of years brought about a great deal of tumult.

McEntire and Linn didn't go public with their relationship on social media until January. Linn shared a photo of the two at dinner, writing: "Had a fantastic dinner with this Oklahoma girl. Tater Tots and Ketchup included." Later, an October Instagram post he shared showed the pair getting cozy on a cooler at some sort of outdoor festival. McEntire's caption of the photo took an already cute photo to another level, as she proclaimed that Linn was her "Sugar Tot."
