There are many singing shows out there that have produced some great singers that dominate the charts and blow away audiences worldwide. From Britain’s Got Talent to American Idol, talented performers get the chance to show off their skills and see if they have what it takes to be a superstar.

Some people have that magic right away, while others are clearly just there to make a fool of themselves on national television. But the crowd favorites usually end up being the unique singers who aren’t what they appear.

With a full head of thick dreads and a face suited for modeling, 16-year-old Zhavia does not look like your average singing competition contestant. Her casual style and calm demeanor is a breath of fresh air from the clean-cut hopefuls who often litter the brightly lit stages of the world’s competition shows.

Zhavia lives at home with her mom and has always been passionate about singing, which is evident during her performance of “Send Me Your Location” for the judges of the brand new hit show on Fox “The Four: Battle For Stardom.” Zhavia explained that her motivation for competing on the show is to one day be able to afford a new house for her mom.

“I’m here today to get a chair, and my family’s here to support me. And I just love them so much. I’m doing this for me and them,” she said in a pre-interview.

The panel of judges, which includes Sean Combs, DJ Khaled, Meghan Trainor, and Charlie Walk, were charmed by Zhavia’s down to earth look. None of them were expecting the performance that followed.

The cool 16-year-old performs with confidence and style, her dance moves perfectly matching the slick flow of her song choice. It’s no surprise that her audition has been viewed by over 17 million people worldwide. She is already destined for success!
