Country fans across the country are cheering in anticipation of the second Stanley Cup run by the NHL's Nashville Predators in back to back years. Fans have two main reasons for wanting to see Predators make a championship run.

The first is that the team is filled with great guys that nearly accomplished their ultimate goal a year ago. The second reason is no other team in the NHL possesses the number of hometown music heroes to consider for national anthem duties.

The Predators were able to get Carrie Underwood, Trisha Yearwood, Vince Gill, and Little Big Town all to perform the national anthem during the playoff run by the Predators a year ago. Fans can only imagine who will be in line to sing the national anthem this year.

Before the first game of the Stanley Cup Playoffs on Thursday night the first of the musical surprises were revealed to the fans. The Predators were taking on the Colorado Avalanche. Before the game, Rascal Flatts treated the crowd with an amazing rendition of the national anthem.

The crowd cheered loudly when the group was introduced and the roar from the crowd was deafening when the trio began to sing. Gary LeVox, lead singer of the group sang a large portion of the song by himself. He was then joined by the other two members of the group Joe Don Rooney and Jay DeMarcus.

Fortunately for all of us who was not present at the game, the performance by Rascal Flatts was recorded for us to enjoy over and over again.
