Cats are naturally wise creatures. They can hunt their own food, bathe themselves, survive in the wild, and somehow manage to get the most out of their nine lives. So it seems fitting that a cat from Chicago was born to resemble one of the wisest movie characters ever created - Yoda.

Yoda stands out because of his unique ears and vast intelligence regarding just about any subject. Characters in the "Star Wars" movie franchise have long gone to Yoda for advice. Lovers of the movie often name their animals, and even children, after their favorite characters.

That was exactly what Valerie and Ted Rock did when they came across a sweet, gray kitten while out with friends one evening in Chicago. While at a pub, they noticed a group of patrons loving on the kitten. After asking about the kitten's backstory, the couple learned that the owners were trying to find someone to adopt him. Grieving the recent loss of their 20-year-old cat, Ted and Valerie immediately jumped at the chance to bring the little kitten home.

They knew he was special from the moment they laid eyes on him. Not just because of his docile demeanor, but because of his unusual appearance. The tiny gray kitten had not just one set of ears, but two. Having four ears isn't unheard of in the world of cats, but it's not as common as having extra toes. It's considered a genetic mutation but does not affect the overall health of the cat because the extra ears aren't connected to any functioning body parts.

Once Valerie and Ted saw the kitten's unique look, they knew the perfect name for him. The gray, furry feline was soon known as Yoda.

Once the internet got wind of the cat with four ears who bore an uncanny resemblance to one of the most treasured movie characters of all-time, Yoda quickly became a social media celebrity.

The name Yoda isn't all that unheard of for a cat. It's believed that the creator of the "Star Wars" movies, George Lucas, owned a cat named Yoda.

What do you think of this cat's unique appearance? Do you agree that the name Yoda suits him perfectly? Be sure to pass the story of this special cat along to all "Star Wars" enthusiasts and cat-lovers you know. It's sure to bring a smile to their face.
