As the Queen (93) and her husband Prince Philip (98) both belong to the at-risk groups for the coronavirus, they decided to leave Buckingham Palace on March 19 to move to Windsor Castle for the time being. They also released a statement advising the public to change their normal routines for the greater good of the community:

“As Philip and I arrive at Windsor today, we know that many individuals and families across the United Kingdom, and around the world, are entering a period of great concern and uncertainty. We are all being advised to change our normal routines and regular patterns of life for the greater good of the communities we live in and, in particular, to protect the most vulnerable within them”

In her statement, Queen Elizabeth also addressed the importance of finding new ways to stay in touch with loved ones during these challenging times.

"Many of us will need to find new ways of staying in touch with each other and making sure that loved ones are safe. I am certain we are up to that challenge. You can be assured that my family and I stand ready to play our part."

As for the majesty herself, she is currently learning to use FaceTime and Skype to communicate via video call with her friends and family members, as The Telegraph reported.

Prince Harry and his wife Meghan Markle followed Queen Elizabeth's example and also shared some words of advice and support on their Instagram account, reminding everyone that we're in this together and that "this moment is as true a testament there is to the human spirit."
