Queen Elizabeth Has Ditched Real Fur For Fake, According To Her Dresser

As of 2019, Queen Elizabeth has ditched real fur in favor of the faux version.
Angela Kelly, a royal dresser who has worked closely to Queen for over 25 years, revealed the fact in her book "The Other Side of the Coin: The Queen, the Dresser, and the Wardrobe."
"If Her Majesty is due to attend an engagement in particularly cold weather, from 2019 onwards fake fur will be used to make sure she stays warm," Kelly writes, as cited by CNN Style.
The news has since garnered positive feedback from the public. Claire Bass, executive director for Humane Society International/UK, told CNN Style that the Queen's decision has “thrilled” her organization.

"Queen Elizabeth's decision to 'go faux' is the perfect reflection of the mood of the British public, the vast majority of whom detest cruel fur, and want nothing to do with it," Bass said.
Additionally, Bass said the move sends the message that fur is “out of fashion,” and would like to see the UK become the first country to ban the sale of fur altogether.

As of now, we will just have to wait and see whether the Queen will extend this new rule to her already existing wardrobe.
