Queen Elizabeth Has Been Carrying The Same Handbag For Over 50 Years

It is a bit surprising that Queen Elizabeth has been using the same handbag since 1968. With access to so much of today's high fashion, it would be understandable that the queen would always be sporting something new. But while she is known for her rotating wardrobe of large hats and matching neon-colored dresses, it is this handbag that seems to be a constant.

The queen is lucky enough to receive an abundance of custom-made items by several of the world's top designers. She has received more than 200 exclusive items from her favorite label, Launer. But it is clear that her favorite Launer item is the black handbag that she has been carrying for over 50 years.

Because of how much the queen is photographed, it makes sense that the handbag would be present in a slew of significant photos of the royal family. The queen was even using the bag during momentous occasions, including meeting President Richard Nixon with Prime Minister Edward Heath in 1970 as well as in 2000 when the royal family hosted Bill and Hillary Clinton at the palace. More recently, the purse was pictured when Queen Elizabeth attended the Cheltenham Gold Cup in 2003 and at the 2017 Royal Horse Artillery parade.

Now you can check out this collage of photos to see for yourself just how often she uses this particular handbag. Be sure to spread the cool pictures to your friends and family after you have looked through the shots through time. We are sure that this purse will remain with the queen until the end of the time.
