We love hearing about animals that defeat the odds and end up living a happy life. This Siberian husky has a story that we can’t wait to tell.

Clyde is an adorable dog that could not stand up without help just a mere year ago. Today, he can run and jump with every other dog at the dog park. You’ll soon see that there is really nothing that can get in the way of this happy-go-lucky dog! He is truly living the best life that he can.

According to Cater News, Clyde was born with cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition that makes it very hard for him to control his motor impulses. This condition is very similar to humans who suffer from cerebral palsy.

Clyde has had to deal with the condition ever since he was born. Luckily, just a few months later he was able to go to his forever home with April.

April spoke with Cater News about how she adopted Clyde and began to provide him with the help he so desperately needed. She adopted him at the beginning of 2018 when Clyde was about five or six months old. At that time, April stated, he could barely stand up without help.

With her love and care, Clyde was up and moving around without assistance just four months later. At the moment, the lovable pup still goes to physical therapy on a regular basis. While he is still a bit wobbly when he walks around, it doesn’t stop him from trying his hardest. His balance is also a bit off, but you wouldn’t know it when you see him take off for his little dog friends at the local park!

April explained that her plans have always been to adopt a dog that was going to need more support than others. That is because many of these animals are killed or abandoned by their owners. They are also harder to adopt out because of their special needs.

She looked for a dog with special needs because she wanted to give one the best home that she could. She said that she feels a bond with these types of dogs, as she herself grew up neglected and left behind. She said that they all deserve a chance to live and be loved. Watch the heart-warming video for yourself below:
